Love Andy’s Boot camps

I love Andi’s boot camps. They are highly enjoyable and I cannot recommend them enough. I do two sessions per week and my health is improving rapidly, combined with a healthy diet of course.

Andy really knows his stuff!

Andy’s enthusiasm for health and fitness is infectious. His eating plan is superb – even without the workouts and he gives that away for free! The trick is to stick to it. The P/T sessions are great too, Andy really knows his stuff.

Had a fantastic 1 hour workout with Andy yesterday. He took time to understand my goals, needs and current state. He helped me to work toward those goals by focusing my workout on the important areas: abs and chest. He also gave me some great advice to improve my nutrition regime.

Thank you for all your help

I just wanted to thank you for all your help and encouragement that you showed and gave me whilst training with you.  If it wasn’t for you at the beginning, I wouldn’t have got started on this journey. Still currently going to Physio and just been referred to a specialist to sort my ankle out!

After careful consideration, I have decided to finish the journey on my own and you’ll be pleased to know that I’ve lost a further 1.5 stone since I last saw you :) . I’ve been going to the gym (swimming, body pump and spinning.) never thought I could ever really do it on my own but you really did give me the push I needed to make me believe that I could and for that I will always be grateful to you!

If ever you need a recommendation, I would have no problem giving one and if anyone asks me about a trainer I am happy to share your information with them :)

I have never jogged before in my life

I joined Folkestone Boot Camps about 2 months ago in order to get fitter and to lose weight. Although I have joined various gyms over the years I have never really enjoyed the atmosphere of a gym and have had to force myself to go, often not bothering.

I must say that the first boot camp session was quite tough for me as I have never jogged before in my life. However, I was instructed by Andy to go at my own pace and not to worry if I was behind everyone else. Over the coming weeks, I am able to jog for much longer and my speed is also improving. I can now do press-ups and squats and all of the other training techniques. I was so impressed with my fitness levels and new emerging shape that I decided to take up personal training sessions with Andy, who promised that I would drop a dress size within a month.

Not only have I dropped 2 dress sizes since joining boot camps, my body shape and fitness levels have increased beyond anything I ever expected. I really enjoy boot camps and going out in all weathers is a pleasure rather than a chore.

I am 57, well toned and in shape for the first time in my life and have a new lease of life thanks to Andy King. I am living proof of the benefits of Andy King’s boot camp!

Best Personal Trainer Ever!

Andy is the best personal trainer ever! You are in a group and yet he gives you all of his attention. I was overweight when I joined boot camp. I also had personal training sessions with Andy to begin with. I have lost over a stone in a month and dropped 2 dress sizes. I feel fit and healthy for the first time in years.

Andy makes working out fun, He is encouraging, supportive and welcoming at every session. If like me you have a definite goal and need the knowledge of an expert to help you along the way he’s your man! Give it a go you won’t be disappointed, each session is different and never dull! :-)

 

I have been using the services of Andy of AK Health and Fitness for over a year. Andy has always been punctual, reliable and friendly. When a recurring injury happened on a run (not with Andy) then he adapted my program to help rehab and continue training. He also offers support when not in training via email and phone – this has been a life saver at times! I highly recommend his services.

I have been attending Andy’s boot camp classes since September 2012. Each class begins with interval training along the Folkestone Leas – which certainly blows away the cobwebs – and is followed by indoor circuits. The class sizes are small enough that Andy is able to give 1 to 1 advice if it is needed, and he always motivates you to push yourself as far as you can. His personable style also means that the class isn’t intimidating for any newcomers and everyone is always warmly welcomed. This class is a guaranteed endorphins boost! –  Katie

The snail and tortoise race….

Being a 29 year old women, I have always tried to be healthy, constantly looking at what I am eating but I could never say I was fit.

I remember my first boot camp, I was extremely nervous and excited and although it was hard I got a buzz that I had not had before and just wanted to continue and get better.

The majority of the exercise is outside even in the winter, that’s what makes it unique. It is a workout like no other, fun, varied, lung bursting and muscle aching but my aim is to just get better and better. I want to be the leader of the group not the snail.

For Christmas I got personal training sessions with Andy. I had my first one last week. Not only do we look exercise but also healthy eating. Although I do eat healthy I would occasionally have a sneaky chocolate bar once in a while.

I want to burn that fat, increase my metabolism, strength and posture so who knows onwards and upwards. I would love to run the 5k ‘race for life’ this year.

I have been attending Andy’s Boot camp classes for about 3 months now and thoroughly enjoy them.  He is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer who gives excellent nutritional advice whilst motivating and supporting throughout the class, also exercising outdoors is very invigorating.

It doesn’t matter what your level of fitness or ability is, Andy will encourage and push you to do your best – and a bit more.

I am now totally hooked and found myself missing the classes over the Christmas break.

Andy not only motivates you and pushes you to your maximum, he looks after you. Always checking you are ok and asking for feedback. He mixes it up so that you don’t get bored and the best thing of all is that he really pushes you to get the maximum out of your workout.

Get a sweat on before most people are out of bed

I attend the 6am Wednesday boot camp with Andy, it has to be one of the most professional fun classes I have ever attended. You work hard, get a sweat on all before most people are out of bed, a perfect workout for before work to make you feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead!! Jess

Fitter and faster since doing these classes

I’ve been going to Andy’s boot camp classes for a couple of months now and am really enjoying it. I have a good level of fitness however Andy is really motivational and focuses on High Intensity Impact Training (HIIT), mainly outdoors. It’s been great to get up in the morning (Wednesdays at 6am) or head outside after work (Mondays at 7.30pm) and do a variety of sprints, beach runs, hill runs combined with a variety of other exercises. The hour whizzes by yet you really feel it and the class caters for all levels. I am without doubt fitter and faster since doing these classes, which are excellent value for money. Ben Geering

Mum of 5 kids

I have been training with Andy for over 2 years and have never felt fitter. Andy is always on good form and gets you motivated to try your best and then give that little bit extra! As a working mum of 5 kids I never thought I would enjoy exercise as much as I do, I hated it at school as I wasn’t any good at it but I’m sure I’m not alone in that. It’s great for stress relief and if you were like me and always looked in envy at others wishing that you were brave enough to give it a go,pick up the phone and ring…. don’t wait thinking that you will on day.. make that call today!

Andy is great no matter how unfit you are he would encourage you to do your best he is normal, he understands that we are not all perfect but he is not soft either!

It’s about what you get out of it at the end of the day we all know that we should exercise it’s just a case of biting the bullet and getting going!

Haven’t been this fit since being at school

Andy is a truely brilliant trainer, gives personal attention to everyone in the class and pushes you at just the right level to get a little more out of you.
This is a must attend class for anyone with a desire to get fit, after one class you feel inspired to do more and you use muscles you never knew exsited.
I get the most out of the abs exercises and find myself completing them at home some mornings, the outdoor part of the class is first rate especially on the 6am session.
Haven’t been this fit since being at school. Al.

Wicked…. They say no pain no gain and this is what its all about ! if you love exercising and keeping fit then come along to BOOT CAMP !!! love the variety i.e. Outside on the leas and circuit training in side, Andy is very good and keeps you motivated and also helps if you are struggling a bit. fresher air, more interesting scenery, more space to move around

Awesome boot camp. Its hard work, but then that is the point. Love pre-paying on-line so I don’t have to remember taking cash with me (and it is cheaper). Didn’t think I would enjoy doing exercise outside in Febuary but you warm up very quicklyand now I prefer being outside than inside – fresher air, more interesting scenery, more space to move around and in the summer it will be amazing over looking the sea. I hope we will spend the whole session outside.

brilliant value for money!

Andy has been a personal trainer to my partner and I since September of last year. He is always extremely encouraging in the sessions and has bought us to a level of fitness that we, as ‘desk jockeys’, didnt believe we would achieve. He also advises on nutrition, lifestyle and goals, and because of this, is brilliant value for money!We would definitely recommend him and have continued our fitness programme largely due to him and his encouragement.

a fitness class,the professionalism,and effectiveness of military circuit training

Since leaving the Royal Navy in October 2009, I’ve been looking for a fitness class that mirrors the professionalism, variety and effectiveness of military circuit training. The boot camp does this and is suitable for people like me, who have let their fitness levels slip!  I like the fact that half the class is spent outside whilst muscle groups are targetted and worked on inside afterwards.  If you need to start or re-start your fitness regime, this is a really good choice! I always feel energised and upbeat after a class.
